Shattered  Dreams

Each year, over half a million dreams are shattered. Out of 3.3 million babies born alive, some 30,000 die during the first 28 days. Another 33,000 babies are stillborn.

Pre-Eclampsia affects 1 in 10 pregnancies (1 in 50 severely) It kills 7-10 mums in the UK per year and a staggering 500-600 babies die in the UK per year due to this condition which to date a cause has yet to be found.  Statistic from APEC

However, these figures can be reduced with regular antenatal checks and awareness, monitoring the condition can prevent these statistics from rising.

This support site has been created in memory of our beautiful baby Josh, born asleep 12th August, 2002. as a result of Eclampsia. It will hopefully help people who are suffering from this condition or have done, whatever the outcome.
